5-foot Millenium Falcon

in honor of Dave Goldberg who taught us so much, im starting a group project to build a 5-foot Millennium Falcon. this comes from the great work of Lee Malone, Sean Sides, and others like Faustus100 (RIP), Maruska, Eagle1, and Geek1138 who figured out parts and sizes. im not the first but i want us to build it together, sharing what i have learned and hoping you'll share too. it will take me at least three years since im new and go slow,making test versions to get it right instead of rushing.

im no expert with secret tricks unlike some who hoard info because old models are rare or they want less competition on eBay. i have got the source kits from my Y-Wing, and over 100 work for the Falcon too. if i find a rare kit, i'll share it by casting copies for you. all I ask is your honest tough feedback. tell me what's wrong or looks bad. i love criticism because it improves my work.

oh wow, please update us here regarding your progress so we can build together. I would love to help anyway, following this thread because I might end up doing the same one day. thanks for sharing where you got your source kits mate.

As a huge Star Wars fan, that's a thing i would die to see. And if you ever need help with organizing updates, documenting build steps, or creating visual guides or posts, i offer my support however i can. You can even post updates here on the forum so other members can also contribute.

I wanna contribute. This is really the greatest idea I've read on this forum. I also am a Star Wars fan and i would definitely want to be a part of this huge project.

It will be fantastic to watch the build come together, and I'm sure that your thorough approach will help others along the way as well. Keep sharing updates and feedback,it's always helpful. I'm excited to see how the Falcon turns out! I love the slow, steady approach, especially when you're learning and testing

Totally agree. Taking it one step at a time really makes a difference, especially with something as intricate as the Falcon. I can't wait to see how everything comes together
