The original V the series

I've been a longtime fan of the original V series and would love to get a proper Shocktrooper costume made . Ive searched all over eBay and Etsy, but everything i've found is either low quality or just not accurate at all . Does anyone know if someone still makes these costumes or props? I'd really appreciate any leads.

I'm guessing you might find something at an auction and when I say something I mean a prop used in the series or maybe even a good replica. The second option would be to find someone that does custom costumes, they cost a lot, but with the right one, you'll get the perfect product. Finally, if you're handy with some tools you might consider DIY the costume. It will probably take a while, you'll probably have a few failures along the way, but you'll make it as you want it to

Yeah, i've been leaning toward DIY since I enjoy that kind of challenge, but i wasn't sure how far off a replica might be from the real thing in terms of detail.. Have you ever tried building something like this yourself, or know anyone who has? Would love to hear how tough it really gets.
