Best method to attach cloak to armor?

I'm working on this awesome custom medieval costume, but I'm having a bit of a struggle with the heavy cloak. It just won't stay on my shoulder armor, and it's driving me a bit nuts! I really want to find some simple and secure ways to fasten it without ruining either the fabric or the armor. Anyone got any tips or tricks? I'd really appreciate it

Use hidden straps or loops that attach to your armor's underside so it will keep the cloak anchored without visible hardware or you can sew rare earth magnets into the cloak and glue it inside the armor, it wont damage and it will be easy to remove

Are you considering magnetic clasps or discreet under-armor straps to keep the cloak secure, or do you want to stick with strictly period-accurate fastening methods?
