Suggestions please!!

My 10-year old son is attending a party with his classmates, and thanks to the dads in the group, they all agreed to wear costumes from Star Wars. And of all the characters, he chose to be Jar Jar Binks!! My kid really has interesting ideas.. except I don't..

What material do you suggest I use for the head? I want it to be durable but breathable and easy to wear because these kids play rough!! The rest of Jar Jar Binks, I'm just planning to mostly use regular fabric.

for Jar Jar's head i usually use a lightweight foam sheet it's durable easy to shape and won't get too hot for your son while he is running around. you can cover it with a breathable mesh fabric to make it comfy and add some paint for the look. i made a costume headpiece like that for my nephew once and it held up great during rough play. regular fabric should work fine for the body.

First off, jar jar??
Id say EVA foam for the head cos it's lightweight, durable, and with a heat gun, you can shape it to match that ridiculous Gungan noggin. Use mesh fabric for the eye holes and then thin upholstery foam for the long ears

Try using EVA foam for the structure if you want it durable and breathable, it's lightweight, flexible, and holds shape well. Then cover it with fabric or paint it for a bit of detail, and add mesh around the eyes or mouth area for ventilation. It should be comfy enough for kids and can handle some rough play. Regular fabric for the rest of the costume will work just fine too
