Need an opinion

I plan to make a the Emperor of Mankind costume from Warhammer 4000 and I need your thoughts on the chest. I'm the kind of person that wants to add a personal touch to each costume and make it unique, so do you think I should go with the original chest or come up with something my own?

Go with your own design, it keeps the spirit but adds personality, maybe blend classic elements with custom armor detailing or lighting, that way it's recognizable but totally yours
